Haggerston Park is in the south west corner of Hackney, bordered by Queensbridge Road, Hackney Road and Goldsmith’s Row. The park was developed in two phases – the previously industrial northern half of the site became a public park in the late 1950s and the southern half of the park was fully developed for public use in the 1980s.
The park holds a Green Flag award. The awards are given to the best green spaces in the country and are awarded each year to make sure the quality of the green space remains high.
The BMX track is accessible whenever the park is open and is free to use. If you would like to learn how to ride the track, Hackney BMX club run beginners coaching sessions every Sunday, 10am – 12noon.
