Offering adventurous, imaginative and exciting play opportunities for disabled children and their siblings aged between 5 and 14 years, this playground is named after Lady Allen of Hurtswood, who was responsible for the birth of the adventure playground movement in London and England. A safe and secure oasis on the north edge of Wandsworth common, the playground has lots of swings, slides and play structures and a wild wooded area behind the building where children dig, make dens, climb and hide. The indoor facilities include play areas, a soft play installation, an arts and crafts area, an indoor slide and a video games room.
It is run by the disabled children’s charity, KIDS.
The playground is open during term time for school visits and is open to the public at specific times during term time and holidays. Phone for details.
