Description

This Churchyard in Lower Tootinng is largely a 19th Century burial ground. There is a plaque commemorating an infamous occurrence of 118 paupers who died in the mid 19th century, a story which Charles Dickens included in his writings in 1849. The churchyard features a scattered selection of Yews and covers two grassed acres. The Churchyard is kept open and still in use today.
